DISTANT THUNDER

I have felt a little out of touch lately - too many things going on I suppose...

There are lots of last minute details I'm dealing with as the Comic Con approaches.
It's my Mom's birthday on the 10th, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!
Let's see, we have a trip planned to go to Disneyland next week...
Our good friend and assistant director, Shane Herney is getting married on the 10th, CONGRATULATIONS SHANE & GINA!
And I am burried in freelance work, but plenty of work is a good thing... right?

So, maybe all the commotion has just gotten me a little out of whack and that has made it hard to settle into a good rhythm with the rewrite work - oh look, there's a HUGE full moon tonight! That's inspiring!

Anyway, soon there will be more in the way of updates here on the site, I promise!
It doesn't help much that my two ART DIRECTORS have gone M.I.A. for weeks at a time (Hey guys, if you are reading this, DRAW SOME COOL STUFF, and call me!!!) hopefully the artwork will be flowing in soon and there will be some juicy new designs to share with you all... fingers crossed!

Hey, Jeromy Cox has a new comic book out! VAMPYRATES - check it out, it's way cool!

REMINDER: The SAN DIEGO COMIC CONVENTION is: July 21st - 25th
Look for Gothic Cowboy and BOTI at the: ROGUE CREATIONS booth!

. . .

FILM OF THE WEEK:

I just saw 50 First Dates - Starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore - I was surprised at how much I liked this movie, it was handled very nicely and there were many places where it could have gone south, but it stayed true to the emotion of the story and didn't try to go too far for its own good just to get a laugh... I found the heart of the story to be touching as well.

I also saw Fahrenheit 9/11 & Spiderman 2 - both are a MUST SEE!
Fahrenheit for your conscience and Spidey 2 for pure entertainment! - The best super hero movie ever! It kicks some serious ass!

Gene $immons has a solo album coming out soon, it is called A$$HOLE - I'm curious what it will be like... I'm a huge KISS fan (the REAL KISS, not this cheap, over-hyped, integrity-lacking crap they've been serving up since 1997... I'm talkin' Hotter Than Hell! Alive! Destroyer! Rock 'n' Roll Over! Alive II! THAT was KISS! Anyway, Gene is a millionaire sell-out with an out-of-control ego, but hey, you have to admit one thing... in his prime, he was bad-ass! With the makeup on, he was the Demon born of blood and fire!

He was, the GOD OF THUNDER!

ROCK ON!
