FRIDAY THE 13th

Today was awesome! My wife, Julia, and I, went to a press conference with Korn, at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery - it was the announcement of their North American "See You On The Other Side" tour... it was really cool to meet the guys and hang out with our good friend Juli Maldonado, who made the whole event possible for us to attend, and we got some really cool photos of Korn during the press shoot.


Now, I just need to figure out a way to get Jonathan Davis to write some music for
BLOOD of the INNOCENT!

Juli is an incredible makeup artist, and I was able to discuss having her work on BOTI over dinner, and it looks like she may have the availability to lend her talents - fingers crossed!

In other news, I'd like to officially welcome Shane Herney as Co-Producer of the film as well as the Assistant Director and DP positions that he was previously filling - Shane kicks ass! Together we have been planning out the shooting schedule of our "extended trailer" that we will begin shooting in March - we have also been finalizing some casting for the lead and supporting roles of the film, you can see how things are rounding out on the CAST page.

FILM OF THE WEEK:

Well, my son and I loved THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE, but I have to admit to something that makes me feel sort of icky inside... I actually liked THE ISLAND... as a rental, mind you... but this is huge, because I hate Michael Bay's movies!!! The last 20 minutes blow, but for a good portion of the movie, he had me... I was digging it.

Still waiting for THE NEW WORLD & V FOR VENDETTA ...man, UNDERWORLD EVOLUTION looks like dog crap! I'm not just saying that because I am making a vampire movie and there are similarities, because I actually liked the first movie quite a bit... but it looks like they have disregarded all the things that were cool about the first one and gone for some cheesy new plot line... I hope the trailers are misleading and it actually has merit.
